Description / Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass Seeds

This is one of those grasses that you grow first on a whim, then as an integral part of your garden. Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass is just that irresistible (and easy). And for an annual, Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass manages to give 12 months or more of beauty when you use its lovely bunny tails as everlastings. Give Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass a try this season and you'll see what I mean.

Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass is neat and compact, just 12 to 20 inches high and about a foot wide. Beginning in early summer, Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass topped by chartreuse puffballs, about 2½ inches wide, that really do look like Peter Cottontail rummaging around in your grass for a dropped Easter egg. They are soft, fluffy, and absolutely irresistible to touch—a big child-pleaser and a nice edging for a pathway, where visitors will smile as the bunny tails brush their legs.

As summer turns to fall, Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass turn to rich tan and dry out beautifully on the plant. You can leave them there—they make spectacular winter accents, lasting until they catch the first heavy snowfall (or all season in mild climates). Or you can cut Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass and use them in dried arrangements, where they will last for MONTHS, refusing to shatter the way some textured grasses do after drying.

Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass is a pleasure to grow, too, because it favors sandy soils that many other plants shun, and once it gets its roots established, it's quite drought-tolerant. Give Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass plenty of sunshine, water throughout the growing season, and watch it fill your garden with bobbing, fluffy blooms. And of course Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass makes a fine complement to just about any flowering plant in containers, where you can pat the bunny all you want.

Space Bunny Tails Ornamental Grass about 10 to 12 inches apart for a solid "bunny field" of color.

So cute!
Review by Lisa c
Love the bunny tails grass so much I bought more for next season. Starts off looking like crab grass but soon after the tails appear.

Super easy to grow
Review by Linda
These sprouted in one week and turned out great. I put them all around the bottom of some trees that I have in pots. Looks very attractive, keeps the weeds out, and the moisture in.

OH, SO CUTE!
Review by Crazy Colleen
I planted these indoors and they sprouted. When I put them in the little greenhouse outdoors, I thought they all died. Later, I put them all in the sun with all my other seedlings that sprouted and lo and behold, most of them sprouted. They are vigorous and growing cute little bunny tails. This one is a keeper. Next year I will just wait till the weather is warm outside and plant them.

Growing like a Weed
Review by Patty
It is turning out to be a very nice clump of grass, I started them in the winter and put them out in spring, and they are doing very well. The grass itself is soft too.
